Stillberg research site
A hike up to the Stillberg research site (Dischma valley, Davos), an afforestation where almost 100,000 trees were planted above the treeline in 1975. Along the way we will pass through unmanaged subalpine forest and wind our way through the afforestation itself. Participants will learn about the history of the site and the ongoing research conducted there.

- Duration: Morning to early afternoon. Alpine hike uphill/downhill (1700 to 2250 m a.s.l. = 550 m elevation difference, approx. 7 km total).
- What to bring: hiking boots, clothing adapted to potentially fast changing mountain weather (for sun, rain and cold), a sufficient level of fitness for an intermediate to steep up- and downhill hike, picnic/snacks and sufficient water, hiking poles if you are used to them
- Costs: 15.- Euro, registration through the registration platform required
- Starting point: Davos Teufi, local public transport bus, both ways (bus B313 at 8.05 from train station Davos Dorf to Teufi Dischma). The bus tickets are partly covered by your Davos guest card that comes with your hotel booking.
- Participation: the minimum number of participants is 15, the maximum number is 22. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
